Before he was born, Darryl was faced with the tragedy of his father being killed.
As a result of that Darryl was raised in South Los Angeles, formerly known as South Central L.A. surrounded by poverty, gangs, drugs, crime and no positive role models in his life which lead him to run away from home at an early age, drop out of school and eventually lead a life of crime that he never wanted or even asked for.
Now as an entrepreneur and graduate from the Los Angeles Film School in Hollywood California, Darryl is serving his community and assisting youth and young adults in having a more successful, happy life.
To Darryl giving back is a must and to do so he works with at-risk youth and young adults ages 10 to 22 and their parents getting them back into school, into a better life and helping them stay away from gangs, drugs, teen pregnancy and any criminal involvement through the use of arts and entertainment as well as mentoring and tutoring to help them reach their goal of a higher education through It’s Cool To Be In School and the Saving All Kids organization.
